The folk dance group from Bitburg has been founded in 1960 and consists of amateurs which have the aim to keep old folk traditions.

Our home, Bitburg, is a small town which lies in the regions Eifel and Ardennes between Rhine, Mosel, Luxemburg and Belgium. On one hand, the folk dances have their origin in the regions Eifel/Ardennes and Rhineland which one can already find in the 18^th and 19^th century. On the other hand, the dances are composed of traditional dance steps which reflect the mentality of the habitants of our part of the country.

Our costumes are made accordingly to old designs of the dresses worn in the beginning of the 18^th century in the Eifel and the Ardennes.

On various international folk festivals in whole europe, Africa and the Middle–East the folk dance group from Bitburg had great success in representing the Federal Republique of Germany.
